Pervert (7)

OK, we all have a little pervert in us and it’s something women like to yell at us every time us guys say even the slightest thing out of line (or don’t look at their eyes).

This story was about a guy at a Waukesha wal-mart getting his jollies in the lingerie department (I’m probably getting called a pervert for spelling lingerie correctly).  Nonetheless, it wasn’t a big deal, but when they posted “search for pervert” on TV me and the rest of the male species felt like taking duck and cover for a fleeting moment. Then I grabbed my camera.

Here’s to perverts everywhere that aren’t in jail/house arrest/probation/list, etc.

Happiness is my cat.

This is about C. Boo-boo Kitty-Cat.  OK, her name is Celine and I usually don’t admit that.  It was her name at the shelter I got her from 5 or so years ago in Indianapolis.  She is still the little playful tiger like I got her then. She was roughly a year old when I got her and she has been mostly problem free and healthy since I got her.  She’s powered on Nature’s Logic and occasional bits of my ham sammiches, chick peas, and salmon juice. I’m sure she eats a bug or two as well.

Being single she is the someone who is excited to see me when I get home, harasses me when I’m on the phone, destroys stuff at times, and snuggles up with me.  The few that have met her thinks she is pure evil being a black cat and having her claws. I just think of it her being able to play fair.

I can’t imagine being without her and she allows me to have all of above and be independent. My perfect, pretty pet. <3

The Squeezettes (5)

I had a love affair with live bands ever since I went to wedding receptions as a kid.  The gear, the big speakers, the energy, the coolness, and the spirit; pure beauty.

I was denied as a kid to go see all my favorite bands that all the cool kids were going to and I my first I felt was done right when I seen Sir Paul McCartney in Cincinnati in 1993. That night changed me.

While living in Fort Wayne, IN I started checking out local bands and moved to Indianapolis to work more closely with them to promote, write, and finally to capture everything about that essence that I always admired.

Unfortunately I learned all to well that getting to close to that energy is like flying to close to the sun.  The attitudes and drama surrounding it will turn you sour and leave you fleeing.  Part of my decision to come to Milwaukee was to escape all that I was known for in Indy and get a fresh start in Milwaukee.  At the end of last year I became gravitated towards a band and tried to pull away, but it was too big of a force to win.  Her siren pulled me in, and left me trying to salvage what life I had left by being burned again.

The Squeezettes are an amazing band with a trio of accordions, a tuba, and drums that really can spark a party.  They are all about fun, but there is always more under the surface, and I’m here to look under the rug for a moment, and once again leave it there.  Because of the heartache it turned me on the better, but longer path (and higher road) that I’m on today.

P.S. You never wrote me back.

The year in pictures 2009

It used to be when I was a photographer this site was only photos. Now, it’s kinda of an afterthought, but with the ease of having a camera on my iPhone certainly has its benefits of capturing random moments more easily by having it with you all the time. This month I’m going to summarize my year with the photos I collected. The first two entries will be re-published posts for Red Dot and lemon lounge.

With SE Wisconsin last night getting it’s first flakes of snow; an obligatory few people on Twitter had to announce their love and joy for SNOW! Yet, these are typically the same people that are cursing it long before the season’s end, or find themselves stuck in a ditch. Here is my collection of tweets that I will use against you.
